You listed Glenn Medeiros as a one hit wonder, but in his defense – he actually went to #1 in 1990 on the Billboard Hot 100 in a song featuring Bobby Brown called “She Ain’t Worth It” – so he did have two big hits, so graduated out of the One Hit Wonder status, although for a short time.
Kudos on the Julian Cope pick! He would be a great artist to feature on Soundography. He has a long and extremely varied discography.
For me my favorite 1988 album is Front 242 : Front By Front.
A classic in the electronic body music genre, good from beginning to end! It also contains their most known track “Headhunter”.
